Rummy formats explained: Points vs Pool vs Deals
Points, Pool and Deals are the three rummy formats most commonly supported on the Spin Winner platform. Here is how they differ and what to check before joining a table.
Points rummy is the simplest format. Each point carries a cash value (the conversion on the staged snapshot is 1 point = ₹0.1). You pay the point value at the start of the hand and the loser pays the winner the value of their losing cards. Stake entry for Points on the staged snapshot starts around ₹8.
Pool rummy is played until a fixed number of players are eliminated. The entry fee is paid once, and the prize pool is split among the last players standing. Pool tables on the staged snapshot include 101 and 201 pool variants with different elimination thresholds.
Deals rummy is played for a fixed number of deals (the staged snapshot lists 2-deal tables starting around ₹5). Each deal has a pre-set winner and the player with the highest score at the end of the deals wins.
Valid sequences and sets are the same across formats: a pure sequence (no jokers), a second sequence (with jokers allowed) and sets/groups of the same rank. The first player to declare a valid hand wins the round.
